Lets be honest. I'm not sure how often this will get updated, but my hope is that it will be WAY better than just pictures and posts on Facebook.
No better place than to start where we are today...so here it goes-
As most everyone knows, we have a little baby girl on the way. ETA is June 5th, but as her Daddy questions at baby appointments, "So you get to hatch her this time, right?!?" I wouldn't doubt a fashionably late arrival by our little one, contrary to her fathers very persistent requests. Nursery decoration ideas are underway, though I will keep those details for a later date.
Speaking of underway, that's just what Josh is doing right now. Thank the Lord, he doesn't have to be gone another year, just a few weeks. I've recently got a crafty bug, so I will be working on wipe case covers and hair bows for Peyton while he is away (Oh did I forget to mention...her name will be Peyton Nicole Smiley :)). Who knows how many crafts will be added to my list before Josh gets home, but I can tell you we will have one stylin baby with all her fancy bows.
Can't forget about our wonderdog- Mr. Goose. He is one sleepy, mini-horse sized goof ball. He will lay his head on my stomach and Peyton doesn't exactly like it when she gets squished even more than she already is. So she will wind up and kick his head over and over. Of course he feels this and sniffs sniffs sniffs at my stomach, trying to figure out how the heck this is happening. After going in circles with sniffing and laying his head back down (and still being kicked), he decides to lay beside me. You'd think that was the end of it, but he makes sure to keep one eye open...just in case that kicking little one tries to get him again. His new found favorite toy is a pair of 5 lb. weights. Constantly carrying them around from room to room. He's doing AMAZINGLY well with his retrieval training. I've started him out with duck, so if all goes well we will have a water retrieving dog come next duck season.
Well...I think that's all for now. Until next time... :)
